Day 7

When I went into the daycare it started pretty well. All the children were eating their breakfast and getting ready for circle time. Student A has been new this month. He is two years old. At first, he was a little shy and kept to himself. He has now grown out of his shell and has become quite aggressive with the other children. My CT had me work with her and showed me some ways in which she tried to help student A with his behavior. One way has been to put him in time outs talking to him about his behavior. He is still too young to fully understand what is being said to him so a different way we tried to help him is by correcting his behavior right away if he were to hit a student. We would model a correct way to handle upsetting situations for him. I feel that it will take time and work with student A but any little progress is a success.
